Brennan: I’m working on a publication for the Bentley Historical Library at the University of Michigan, and the feature article is on the Polar Bear Expedition. Is it possible to obtain/purchase a non-watermarked hi-res copy of the two soldiers posing in the studio portrait you show above?
Sadly, I just sold this image to a fellow collector. Luckily I have a four additional shots very similar to this one. In fact, the quality and contrast may actually be better. Where/how can I get you the scans? Should I send them to you at the address linked to your name?
