Another wonderful picture – the contrasting color of the aluminium skin of the both F-86’s in the shot just give it that extra sense that these are aircraft are not sitting around doing nothing!
These are great considering how long ago the Korean war occurred. I’m searching for these iages; F-86A FU-319 Tail; 49-1319 and F-86E tail: 51-2789. Both were “trophy” Sabres on Soviet priority list of wants and were shipped to USSR. I have details and am writing up their history for AAJS Journal shortly, but lack these one-in-a-million possible images. So far, nothing has turned up. Thank you and have a good day.

And it’s an early F-86A with the automatic gun port doors. Nice find!
